KUBU ISLAND BAOBAB

Kubu Island stands on the Southern edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans in Botswana, a weathered rocky outcrop crowded with enormous and ancient baobab trees. The slight elevation of Kubu gives a somewhat eerie view over the immense flatness of the salt pans which constantly change pattern and colour as the light moves across them.
