CURIOUS HIPPOPOTAMUS

Wherever there is water in Africa there seem to be hippos and the Okavango Delta in Botswana is no exception. They are always curious of interlopers and never seem to be sated with a quick look, they will keep you in constant view, submerging and re-emerging until by the time they are eventually bored and move off you are left with a deep feeling of their absolute disdain.

This image has been hand processed on warm tone fibre based paper, fixed, hypo-cleared, washed, selenium toned and washed again to the requirements of ANSI archival standards, by Dennis da Silva, one of the most respected craftsman in his field in South Africa.
